Mr. Gunn, a native of Idaho Falls, graduated cum laude from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2005. While a student-athlete on the University of Arkansas cross-country and track and field teams, Mr. Gunn was a four-time All-Southeastern Conference Team selection and member of five NCAA Division I national championship teams. In 2005 Mr. Gunn was awarded the Walter Byers Scholarship as the top male student-athlete in the NCAA. In 2008 Mr. Gunn received his law degree from Columbia University School of Law in New York City.

After law school Mr. Gunn returned west, serving as a law clerk first for United States District Court Judge Justin L. Quackenbush in Spokane, and then for Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Stephen S. Trott in Boise. Mr. Gunn joined Barnum Howell in 2015, after practicing in Boise at Holland & Hart and Brassey, Crawford & Howell.

 

Mr. Gunn’s practice includes civil and commercial litigation, general tort defense, employment, real estate/leasing, and contract formation. Mr. Gunn is a member of the Idaho State Bar and is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in Idaho and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Gunn is also a member of the New York State Bar and the Washington State Bar.

Mr. Gunn enjoys skiing, camping, golfing, and fly-fishing. Mr. Gunn also volunteers as a youth ice hockey head coach within the Junior Steelheads organization, and plays ice hockey recreationally.
